Challenges, challenges....

I pretty much killed this challenge last year, so I upped the stakes to 25 reads. Thank you Bookish Ardor for being the host with the most (dystope?)

Check out the challenge here.
I think the best part of this challenge is that I should be able to complete it just by reading the sequels to 2011 faves. Insurgent, Enclave 2, Blood Red Road the second? Bring it on......
I made a page for challenges so I don't have to hunt through my own posts. Genius!

I'm so glad you've gone ahead and joined in again! It's awesome knowing there are readers who not only love the genre that much, but also enjoyed the challenge enough to visit it again.

I hope you enjoy it again and beat your goal.

The Perfect Giveway!

Christi the Teen Librarian and I had the great fun of meeting Ellen Hopkins in Princeton last week. I want to share this great event with a reader who would love to own an autographed copy of Ellen's latest YA novel: Perfect. This is a finished copy, not an arc. Here's the skinny. No fancy forms, no extra entries (you know, I think those things are bunk anyway!), and no hoops to jump through! *you must be 13 to enter *I can only ship to US addresses only (sorry!) *Giveaway runs until November 11 *winner will be determined by Random.org So leave a comment with your name, and a way to contact you. Follows are NOT required, but I have more giveaways planned so you may want to follow just so you have a head's up on those.

Nebula Nominees Novellette

The Nebula nominees keep coming and I keep knocking them down! So far, I haven't really run into anything I have found so undesireable that I have been unable to finish it. I realize that some things are not going to be to my taste, and I am not going to beat myself up for not finishing them. The novellettes were not a problem. Also, how cute is the word "novellette"? I read some really great stories in this category. "The Long Fall Up" is simply mind-blowing with the idea that a woman so wants to give birth under her own terms that should would steal a spaceship and take off-knowing that she would be alone for delivery. Wow. "Sooner or Later Everything Falls into the Sea" is another modern fairy tale that I just loved. Seriously, Sarah Pinsker just made the LIST (the list of new authors I have discovered while doing this project). "Blood Grains Speak Through Memories" is unlike anything I have every read in my entire life, it freaked m...
